How do I apply for NPF CMR services
Visit the Self-Service portal at https://cmris.npf.gov.ng to apply for NPF CMR
services. You have to create a User Profile to apply for the services.
What do I need to create the User Profile
The requirement for an individual/personal account is the National Identification Number
(NIN). For corporate organization it is the Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Corporate
Affairs Commission’s RC Number.
Asterisks (*****) are displayed as my name while creating User Profile, what should I do?
You are advised to proceed to the nearest National Identity Management Commission’s office
to update your identity.
The Phone Number or Email or Registered Address retrieved from NIN or TIN is not current. How do I change it?
i. During the creation of User Profile, select No in the Confirm Email and Phone Number page
to enter the current Email and Phone Number. ii. After creation of User Profile, go to the
Profile Setting to Edit Email or Phone Number or Residential Address. Note: A change does not
take retrospective effect i.e. it does not alter information in already issued Certificates
I did not get my registration OTP on my phone or Email
It is likely that Do No Disturb (DND) is activated on your phone. Deactivate the DND setting
and resend the OTP. It is also likely that the Email address provided is not valid. Ensure
that the email is valid.
I made payment for my application but it showed Unpaid in the Requests List in my profile. What should I do?
Click on Confirm Payment in the Requests List to conclude the payment process.
I have completed my application on the portal, when and how do I get my certificate?
It takes between 24 and 72 hours to process your application. When approved, the
Certificate will be sent in digital form to your registered email.
Can I apply for multiple vehicles and make payment once?
Select Fleet in the Number of Request in the Choose CMR Request dialogue box. In the Vehicle
Details page, after entering a vehicle details, click on Add to add another vehicle details
until all vehicle details entries are completed.
I have forgotten my Password and unable to login to my profile.
Check and ensure that your login credentials are correct. If you have forgotten your
password, click on Reset to reset the password. Follow the instructions to reset the
password.
I misplaced my Certificate; do I have to re-apply for the Certificate again?
No, you don’t have to re-apply All you need to do is login to your user profile on the
CMRIS portal – https://cmris.npf.gov.ng and View/Print the Certificate. Additionally, you can
get it from your email.
I made an error when inputting the Chassis/Licence Plate Number. How do I rectify it?
Send an email to cmrsupport@npf.gov.ng detailing the mistake(s) made, the correction requested
and attach licence/registration document showing the correct data and linking you to the
vehicle. No payment is required.
